Retail Business Check Up

Just like it’s a good idea to have a health check up on a regular basis, it’s good practice to do a check up for your retail business. The Roanoke Regional SBDC has developed this comprehensive checklist that you can use with your business on a yearly, twice yearly, or quarterly basis. The checklist allows you to identify specific areas for improvement…and to note areas where you are doing well.

It includes questions like:

  • Are you making money?

  • Is your lease competitive?

  • Is your merchandise well displayed and clean?

  • Are your operational policies and procedures clear for employees?
